FIRAXIS: Have you told retailers not to ship the LE outside the US?
qv this thread in the Release Availability forum, amazon.com say:

Quote:
Due to manufacturer restrictions, we are currently able to ship computer software titles to only a few destinations outside of the
United States. Some manufacturers who provide us with these products intend them for the U.S. market only and will not allow us to offer them for sale outside the U.S.
(my emphasis)

Well?

Firaxis is the developer, not the publisher.

And this may be true, but since the product is being produced in the U.S., and there is a 'limit' on the LE, what can I say?

You are so anti-america that having a conversation with you would be poinless. You may or maynot feel you are an enemy of the United States, I don't care either way. However if I still worked for the Goverment I would turn over your e-mail address to my bosses and what ever happen, happens.

Check my thread on Infogrames UK inthe civ3-release forum thingy. I have absolutely blasted Infogrames UK for their conduct, and it looks like Infogrames is quite deliberately withholding the game from international markets for some very strange reason. They are a bunch of bastards from what I can tell...not happy with them at all...

They may provoke a backlash if my order is affected...a small backlash, but one nonetheless.

I've bought CiV II, Civ II Collectors edition and Alpha Centauri - originals from Sid Meier. If I do not receive my pre-order from Gamestop in due time I WILL GET A WAREZ COPY OF THE GAME AND I WON'T BUY THAT FROM INFOGRAMES/FIRAXIS/WHATEVER.

If it is true (I really hope it isn't) they are wrong and must pay fot it...

Bradford...where life is cheap and so are the girls!
(Bradford is apparently the North's Vice Capital...yet the streets are deserted at night!)

I'm at Durham University at present and even here the life of a student is held cheap!

Good to see that there's an united frontier
against this kind of blunder from Infogrames.
I think someone should send an inquiry to them.

BTW, we shouldn't complain on Firaxis,
because Civ III is distributed by Infogrames.
