Civ 3: Its ok !
Well I went over there at around 6:00. He had already been playing for awhile so it was pretty cool. I sat and watched for about an hour then played about 15 turns as the Persians on a standerd map with 10 or 12 Civs.

Ok some immediate things stuck out.

1) AI is very good. I was rather suprised. First of all the AI's ability to expand and colonize was very cool. Cause by the time we got around to turn 24 most of the world had been colonized.

2) The diplomacy is extremely annoying. But getting around it..the AI seems to actually think about its decisons. No ridiculous Map+gold=exchange maps- offer refused! Then accept when done backwards

3) The graphics were slow. I dont know if it was his computer or what. They were neat.....but slow. The screen move like pondwater being whisped by wind..

4) Trade- I havent figured that one out yet

5) War- Well earlier I lost a city to the Soiux. They sent in a half dozen warriors on turn 11. Of course it was easy to just evacuate the city and wait till later to retake it. Which I eventually did

And finally the best of all!!!!! The CD music kicks ass

It really gets you into the game

Now Im going to go play more. I said I would come over to fetch a few beers.....now I have that. Cya all!

Again aagh! they found our city built 6 warriors and attacked your city in 11 turns!

The game seems great but my god Soren seems to have outdid himself on the AI!!

Ehhh, that sounds like nonsense.

Even if they built a Warrior every second turn, how did they move up? With lightning speed?

Maybe he counted turns wrong. This could mean that "one more turn" is alive and well.

Possibly, some of those warriors might have come from conquering nearby barbarians. Expansionist civs are supposed to get better stuff from barbarian villages.

Say they have 4 cities. It's not hard to build 6 warriors in 11 turns.

No Urban. The AI expands twice as fast as human player.

Ok...I have been trying to avoid as much info on Civ3 as possible, but I have a dier need to find out one question. I'm not sure if you have got to this age yet, but I was wondering if MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction) was included in the game. Any form of MAD at all? Now don't give the whole thing away, either. Mainly just a simple yes or no would be nice.

Thank you, please come again.
