Its a disappointment. It just doesnt feel like civ. There is a taste of AOE in it thats turning me off.

Agreed about the AOE thing indeed. You very much need a way better computer than that which is listed for the min req. Mine is above the min, and it is choppy as hell. Some cool new things though. (i justrazed my first city, opting not to encorporate it into my empire)

I did enjoy having two cities defect to my empire without having a shot fired, truth be told.

But there are problems. You know how Civ II was beautiful because it was very, I don't know, complicated in its simplicity? How it was basically mathematical?

This game lost that.

I don't see where you're getting the sense of AoE. It's nothing like AoE at all.

Anyway, came on the board to see what everyone thought and just as I expected not very many posts. I've also been away playing for the majority of the day. What can I say? It's Civilization, bigger and better, just as advertised.

well seems we got a diverse repsonse so far... i would like to think firaxis got it right, they seem to have sold a lot of games , so they making a shed load of money, well done firaxis!!

i don't yet, let me play some more and i'll vote in a week or two. i think theres a potential that it might be good. i haven't had any problems running it yet on my laptop (p3 850, 128meg ram) but i've only played for a few hours.
