My broad generalization thread:
Civ II is better than Civ III until the year 500-1000 AD. From then on, Civ III is superior in almost every respect.

The game has been "dumbed down," the element of parity is more evident. A lot of the nonsense factor is gone. ie No caravans building wonder/collecting 2 techs a turn, no dips buying empires.

They actually make you WORK, Eyes...

I love the military leader concept. If you are ay behind in a wonder that you need, the only option is to attack somebody, and then to attack him again.
