Thanks all. I'm just back from a couple of days in the City of Cows (Calgary), where, as I feared, I couldn't get the dialup to work on my laptop. I'll try to move this all over to the Civ3 General forum sometime tomorrow, including everyones sigs so far. Others can then continue to add their names after that.

ps. Jesus, I am going to stick to 2 named scenarios, to keep it simpler, shorter and so I don't have to do a bunch of extra research. I'd like to add "and 3 others" or whatever the correct number of released scenarios is. How many for you? Also, if you have a civ related web site and want it listed, let me know.

Also, it'd be very helpful to have the sigs of designers of past scenarios. Alex M., Harlan, Capt. Nemo, Mr. Temba, Mike Jeszenka, John Petroski, Giant Squid and many others, if you're checking in, please help us out.

From what I read it was intended to be an expansion of the idea that non-air units cannot be defeated entirely by air power alone. Reasonable when you look at the composition and dispersal of ground units but ridiculous when you include naval vessels as well (all you need is a hole in the right place ).
One can only hope that this is something that can eventually be "editted". No sarcasm intended. Otherwise there won't be any Midway scenarios for one thing.

Actually upon reflection I think sarcasm was intended

It just seems to keep getting worse...

Yeah. It does make sence for ground units and I'd chalk it up as a positive in this area.

More hiccups in the making...

Not only does there seem to be a bug in intercepting bomber-type aircraft with Air Superiority mode fighters (at least this is being referred to as a bug and will presumably be fixed) but there have been a couple of reports of cruise missiles not travelling over water.
Can anyone confirm this?
