A reason why, and why not, to go Democratic
I was looking through the editor some more tonight and I noticed something about the Democracy government type: democratic workers get a +50% bonus to work speed! This is in contrast to Anarchy's -50% penalty to work bonus.

And also, I was wondering if sometimes a Republic is better to choose if war weariness becomes an issue? Even though War Weariness is still a problem for Republics, it is a bit more laxxed. But at the same time, corruption is a problem as well...

I still can't help thinking that going back to Republic in certain cases might not be a bad idea, especially if you are in a sustained war.

GO communist for war. Kill everyone. screw research...just kill everyone with human waves..like the russians did. Don't have to worry about "lagging behind" when your rivals are a smoldering ashheap of dust and rubble.

Pump up the workers *insert music*
By the time I hit Democracy worker efficiency isn't really a problem in my games, actually long before Democracy I find that I've usually got a good number of large cities that can pump out workers in such numbers that efficiency isn't really an issue for me.
