Custom Map Borders...
I recently designed a custom map via the map editor, but when I went to open it in the game, it has a single layer of tundra lining the top and bottom of the map. I tried several things, but these borders always seem to appear every time I make a new map; how can I disable this?

The game will always add polar ice caps in the form of tundra and glacier terrain to the top and bottom of any round map. If you set "Flat World" in the customised rules menu when you're starting a new game, this won't occur.

Once you're in a game I guess you could use the cheat menu commands to change the ice caps' terrain square by square, but it would be pretty slow and tedious. You might be able to do it quicker by hex-editing a saved game. but I'm not sure.
