HELP! Too Many Cities...
I'm trying to make the world in 1888 on the gigamap 'diplomap.mp' and I've run out of cities!! What can I do, is there any way to erase cities I don't really need, since in hindsight I don't really need cities like Ulaan Baator or Pondicherry?

Shift/Rightclick on them from the Map Editor.
But the "Menu Editors" can also be use, to delete a diamond content.

That only removes starting locations set in the Map Editor. I need to remove actual cities from a saved scenario. I tried turning the terrain square into ocean but it won't let you change the terrain of a city square.

In cheat mode, place the cursor on the city and type Shift+D. A dialog pops up asking you if you want to disband the city.

Hope this helps,

Before you can do that, you have to take all the units out of the city. First type Control-Shift-D to get rid of them, then type Shift-D.

To make the terrain look right, get rid of any terrain improvements around the city. Otherwise it looks funny. Also, be sure to replace or rehome any units that the city was supporting.

Good luck with the scenario!

Thanks. I'm using the 'Imperialism' set of units from this site.
