Map Idea I need a tiny bit of help
I thinkin about creating a map that is inside a computer. I would make the roads and railroads be some kind of circutboard pathway(I forget what they are called.) Mountains and hills to be IC's and towns to be RAM chips, and some of the tech symbols to be the SCSI, USB and firewire symbols. Now I just need to figure out what to make the units, other terrain and tech and tech symbols to be like. I know i'm all over the place but any help would be appreciated. I thank you in advance.

Okay, I've better organized mt ideas after a chat with my friend this morning.

City icons would be little hard drives.

Mines would be flash cards or Ram chips.

Population icons would be different colored ones and zeroes.

Tech Advances would be something like Higher Capacity Hard Drives, DVD Technology, and DSL.

Terrain would be Capacitors for forests, Diodes for hills, Mountains would be IC's, Uningraved Silicon for Grassland or Plains, Roads would be Circuts, Railroads would be fiber optic cables.

I've decided that Settlers and Engineers would be Installers, Warriors would be Basic Viruses or Antiviruses.

I also decied that the Tech Advance logos would be SCSI, USB and Firewire Logos.

Well thats all, I need some more ideas for the other units and advances. I thank you in advance.

Sounds intriguing

As well as thinking about what to include in this total conversion, if this is to be the basis of a scenario you need to decide on an objective.

You might consider basing this on the internet, with lots of stand-alone cities under barbarian control, and seven playable cities. You start out in the early days, using those terrain improvements around the cities, which are linked together by roads (copper wiring). As you research new technologies you get to build new city improvements (say Hard Drive upgrades as research improvements, and RAM upgrades as tax improvements). Copper wires can be replaced by fibre optics (RRs). Your objective is a monopoly of all the other cities.

Or have computer corporations battling it out

And don't forget the random viruses
