I just bought ctpll thinking that I could play a modem game with my friend. However, it just will not work. We both have a cable modem and so I'm not quite sure which type of connection we should use. If anybody knows how to set this up please let me know.

I forgot to mention that i am using a network to connect to the server.

chances are that it will only work for 10 turns if you do get it right.
the multiplayer is really buggy, i once made a MP with my girlfriend on our LAN and it worked like ****, so good luck to you

Mp play actually works well once you install the CTP2 patch version 1.11. I suggest downloading the patch and then trying again.
