Second, I whipped up a quick map to send to you showing the general idea
of what I am hoping you can incorporate in the map you are making for
me. The group doesn't want some players on isolated continents where
they can grow without competition, and I want some features most players
don't think about, but do appreciate in gameplay. Also, it will let you
actually *see* what I described earlier.

It doesn't *have* to have as much land, but Diplo play works better
where there are mostly land borders between civs. A few players said
"Please, not another island game", so I'm trying to honor that request.

--Came from your email. I thought the emphasis was on not having to build ships to reach the other players, not copying your land/sea ratio. Next time be more clear.

Also, I do tend to exagerrate to make a point, so let's not worry about how many land squares are on who's map.

It was just a miscommunication on what you wanted exactly, obviously; you found something you like now; it's settled, so no hard feelings.

It is always the responsibility of the person making a request to communicate the desired outcome clearly. Any failure in that regard was mine.

And I reiterate that you gave me a first-class map for a different future game... It will be used, and it will be enjoyed.

Really? yes, well it will have to be for a game where a navy is involved. There is too much coastline for players to ignore navy. Even though the volume of water is not great, there is a ton of coastline.
