Hello everyone.

I'm new here. First post. Don't get used to seeing my name too often since I only drop by forums once a month or so.

Just glad a Cool game like SMAC.. has a fan following.

My questions are

1. Is Civ 3 awsome or okay. I haven't heard anyone play it in my town. So curious at what other people have to say.

2. The more pressing question. I've had SMAC for awhile now. but just now getting into it. I've checked at least half of the Eletronic stores in town. No one has the Alien Crossfire. not even in the bundle pack. Can anyone help me out here. Anyone willing to sell theres or no of a place (Online or not) that is selling it. oh yeah I usually play with Gaians and University.

Opinions and answers to both of your questions can be found in the threads "Civ 3 or SMAX?" and "A cry for help!" respectively. I bumped the later for your benefit. The consensus seems to be that many SMAC fans are dissatisfied with Civ's lateral evolution path, failing to take advantage of many of SMAC's spearheaded features. It's biggest saving grace seems to be superior tactical AI.

Personally, I snagged my copy of SMAX at a used computer game store; you may want to give such places a go, if you haven't already.

Thanks appreciate the help.....Maybe I'll find it at my local PC store they do have a section for used PC games.
