As far as I know whoever calls election must give 1 turn notice of the fact to allow votes to be purchased. It doesn't matter this time, I suppose, as Flubber is unavailable to be lobbyed.

just to keep the election interesting, I voted for the underdog Treehugger Flub. This now makes the vote count as follows:

between the two players who haven't cast their votes yet, there are 29 votes still to be cast, so those candidates better get out there and win some vote$ before the Campaign Finance Reform Bill goes thru!

Both candidates are running on very noble platforms. The preservation of Planet and maintaining peaceful coexistance are both worthy ambitions. After much deliberation, the Spartan nation has cast their lot for Brother Viriato. Here's hoping his term of office will prove peaceful and prosperous for all factions on Planet.
The vote currently stands at 69-31 in favor of Viriato with only 16 votes remaining. Congratulations to new governor Viriato!

Umm...After receiving a phone call from my boss whilst playing a very good bootleg of Zeppplin doing You Shook Me I thoughlessly pushed the up arrow button in order to turn the music up and immmediatlely dispatched 4 garrsisonns out of 4 of my bases.
