Invis units after patch?
Just quit a game in a fit of rage over losing a city, so I haven't checked all the facts yet for my flame... Apologies if anything is incorrect.

After installing the patch, does show enemy moves get turned off in prefs? If this is the case, I'd really like it if the prefs stay the same after patching.

Out of the blue, inbetween turns, some !@(*$& Aztec shows up, declares war and captures the city where I've been building Forbidden Palace for like 150 turns (some dozen or so to go). I really would like in any event to see troop movements in my own territory - how the (*@&!# am I supposed to defend against an enemy whose unit movements doesn't even show up when they're trampling around in my land??

Grrr...

The patch automatically turns off:

Animate Friendly Moves
Show Friendly Moves
Animate Enemy Moves
Show Enemy Moves

Yes, this caught me by surprise at the beginning, too, after barbarians were popping out of nowhere.

Does This Really Need a Thread?
Seems like a simple fix to me: change the preferences.

I had the same problem after I installed the patch, but I noticed it about 2 turns in and changed them. Problem solved. Now I'm back to watching the AI move 6 warriors around in a circle every turn...

Never trust patches when concerning preferences- they may be altered!

Yes - the prefs got changed. Started a new game instead, since I wanted to go all the way with less correuption. Hopefully I won't get nasty surprises like that again.
