What are doesn't make sense. At least, I am not sure what you mean exactly.

I belive chaperon means that after capturing the capital the space ship remains intact if you raze the city, but gets destroyed if you install a governer(i.e. not raze the city). Personally I've never encountered this problem, because I choose to keep capitals, because they usually have wonders. I don't think they made this intentionally, it seams like a bug.

Yeah, I've had the same problem. I Sent them a bug report.
Thanks for the input I didn't realize it would work if you keep the city.
