Please Help

Two issues that are bugging me:

1) I can trade World and Territory Maps during Diplomacy before I have discovered Map Making. Is this correct or a bug ??

2) I have a town size 4 under Despotism. There are 2 military units (contented faces) and a Temple (contended face). There is 1 luxury item (happy face). There are no entertainers and nothing spent on entertainment (0%). However I have 2 Happy Citizens and 2 Contented Citizens. Surely it should be 1 Happy Citizen and 3 Contented Citizens ?????

Any help/advice would be much appreciated

1) Guess that's a subjective call.

2) Could be a luxury resource.

#1 is because the person you are trading with has discovered map making, only one of the sides negotiating require it for it to be an option.

1)If the AI civ has map making, and you don't, you can still trade with them.

2)I have no clue how happiness works though.
