Do mods override standard settings?
Ok, this is probably a dumb question and it has probably already been addressed, but before I download some mods I want to know does it override the standard settings or does each mod have its own place in the directory structure? And if it does override, are there plans for a modswapper, as in CTP2?

The bic overrides anything. As far as I know, the rest of the files are like Civ 2, they must be replaced. Eg. you must overwrite your original files

So who's going to write a modswapper then?

You could do as we did in the old days of civ II, before mods did not overwrite- yo ucould create a copy of only the game and then put all the new mod files into that directory- I think It will work well..
