Christmas has come and gone, and the game's been out over two months now. It would be nice to see the results of another poll "How do you rate Civ 3 now?", but so many people seem to have got bored and left that it's questionable how accurate such a poll might be.

I think a more accurate description is that, as the game stands now, I'm having more fun imagining how I would change the game if I could swap jobs with Sid than I do playing it

Sadly, that's how I'm starting to feel about the game too. I'm spending more time thinking of what needs to be fixed than enjoying the game.

So is your wife a force feedback device that you are going to plug in?

And was she reading over your shoulder to get you to write that?

I took a break from the entire genre, and played Exile. I highly recommend it if you like games that completely immerse you in the experience and reward sharp thinking and puzzle-solving skills.

3 Strikes and you are out.......
Problem with Civ III...... it's old, tired and the game needs to be put out to pasture.

The third game in most series I've ever played never lived up to the feeling that the first one had. Hell, most second ones never lived up to the first.

I'm beginning to think its not just the game design but the game series itself.

...or maybe I'm getting too old.
