A Graphics Plea
Can someone please, PLEASE, ******PLEASE****** make a graphics mod such that tiles with roads in them have a single small (almost invisible) mark indicating road or rails and save the screen from looking like a moulding pile of $hit by the game's end?! By the gods, but there is nothing I despise worse than having a beautiful civ totally ruined by massive roading/railing.... :: sigh::

I fully agree with you there. Roads I can live with, but Railroads everywhere? Yecch! I liked the Supermarket better. Railroads should be used ONLY to connect "City A" to "City B" IMO.

I've done some humble attempts to solve this problem, to little or no avail. I made roads give NO trade bonus to hills/ mountains... The AI still built them EVERYWHERE.
I tried changing the source graphics by replacing the outer sides of the roads with the magic "fuscia" color, but you have to replace it with the magic "very last fuscia color" in order to make them thinner.

The only a way to avoid these damned railroads is to apply for
the Fireaxis creator - in new version of Civ-III. Beg them to solve
railroad madness.
