Wow, what a lousy test, and what lousy results. It labeled me as a New Prosperity Independant, but upon reading their analysis of that, i didn't really fit at all. Blah, and some of the questions were phrased TERRIBLY. This has got to be, overall, the WORST and least accurate political quiz i've ever taken.

I'm a Liberal Democrat.

And this test is not designed for Europeans who have enough spare time on their hands to post on Poly. It is really focused on the American population, which is far more right-wing than Europe or Canada. That's why we have so many Lberal Democrats.

wow..i'm surprised...i've had most people on here and in real life label me as a liberalist....but indeed i am not:

Defining Values:
Distrustful of government, politicians, and business corporations. Favor creation of third major political party. Also, anti-immigrant and intolerant of homosexuality. Very unsatisfied financially.
Who They Are:
Less-educated (only 8% have a college degree) and lower-income (84% make less than $50,000). Half are between the ages of 30-49. Second only to Partisan Poor in number of single parents.

Top Priorites for the Next President:
Social Security (27%)
Education (19%)

Top Issues and Concerns in the 2000 Election:
Not having enough money for retirement (92%)
Being unable to afford health care for a sick family member (91%)
Adding prescription drug benefits to Medicare (91%)
Being unable to put a child through college (85%)
Using payroll taxes for private retirement accounts (82%)

Analysis:
The Disaffecteds feel completely estranged from both parties. This financially pressured and pessimistic group is not only dissatisfied with the ability of politicians to help improve things, but also has less faith in America in general.

I was labelled a "new prosperity independent," not because I'm particularly affluent (I'd challenge you to find an undergrad college student who was), but because I don't mind living off of spaghetti.

Well I took it twice (because I didn't agree with it the first time ).

First time I got Staunch Conservative and the next time New Prosperity Independent .

One of the questions was:

"Other countries generally treat the United States about as fairly as we treat them
OR
Other countries often take unfair advantage of the United States"

I would have answered yes to both.

There were some real BS questions in there.

Plus, they don't think things through.

Do I trust corporations? Hell no, I'm working in the same general industry as Enron. I know they're crooked bastards, but that's the glories of the open market.

Liberal democrat my ass.

Apparently they don't understand the concept of Southern Democrats.

Apparently Im a New Prosperity Independant...

The test had just a slight bias towards American politics and the American voting system. In other words, the entire 2nd page didnt apply to me.

Which do I lean more towards? Dont even know the parties...
Am I enrolled to vote?? In Australia, everyone over 18 is...
Do I vote often?? A $150 fine says I vote every election

Leave it to PBS/NPR to shaft Libertarians completely, slant the quiz towards liberals, and blast conservatives.

Ugh.

I am a Libertarian and I ended up a New Prosperity Independent. I guess thats the general trend.

Y'all should take the Nolan Quiz. Thats a good one.

http://www.lp.org/quiz/

Take that quiz.

Ditto. That quiz is so totally Libertarian slanted it's unreal. Their 'Eysenck' axis stinks too - it's supposed to be Democratic/Autocratic not Libertarian/Authoritarian.

Jesus you could make an RPG with all those definitions

Stupid moron:
Defining values:
-thinks abortion and death penalty are the only two important topics that divide humanity

Description:
great close combat fighter but lacks magical powers. too stupid to use potions and/or scrolls.
mediocre at ranged combat

Abilities:
can dumbfound enemies already at great distance; distance depends on voice level and can be increased by equipping a "loudspeaker".
can initiate a "poll". A Poll is something very dangerous. Once initiated it collects all the opinions of nearby enemies and friends and presents the outcome in a way that looks very convincing by using large colored bars!! Works even better if enemies are dumbfounded!! Because of the danger involved Poll-results are shown to enemies only. This may cause distress in the party, especially if other members are of "stupid-moron" too.
