Winning the space race - help needed
The Apollo Program has just been built and there are several civs including me who will be able to start building spaceships.

If another civ is ahead of me and I want to bring them down to earth, launching nukes like in civ2 seems a good option. But when do I do this? Before they launch on the cities building SS parts or after they launch? If after, will nuking the capital bring the SS down?

Any other advice on winning the space race also much-appreciated.

Cheers

In the second a civ launches the spaceship it will win, you dont have to wait till it gets to Alpha Centauri like in Civ 2.
So you shouldn't wait untill they have launched it

You know that Apollo Program is a small Wonder, so you building it wont allow the other civs to begin contructing their spaceship, they have to build their own Apollo Prog.
(correct me if im wrong on this )
