Agreed.

Why should they not receive Gold Medals when the biased judge's vote was thrown out?
Can you PLEASE explain to me the logic in NOT handing out another gold medal when the final vote tally was 4-4?

I'd like to take the opportunity to admit that all Canadian posters here are my DLs. Actually, I'm the only Canadian anywhere; I've been bullshitting the existence of 30 000 000 people cuz I like the elbow-room afforded by this arrangement.

Actually you could look at it another way. If they disqualified that judge and included the substitute judges score in her place. The Canadians would have won 5-4.

Yes, this type of thing has happened way too much in the past, but it's time to do something about it.

Yes the American press (and the announcers) blew this way out of proportion, which didn't thrill me too much. Imagine if it had been an American pair.

I don't know what would have happened if the circumstances had been reversed, but I doubt it would have been the same.

I do find the final results, (both getting gold) keeping in the sense of fairness.

Finally I don't blame any of the skaters, just the corrupt system of judging.

And tough luck on the short track, but that's part of the sport. It didn't really create any uproar except as a missed opportunity for gold. Go Australia. When the strategy works, keep using it.

Please (once and for all) explain how exactly I'm in any way similar to a muppet that doesn't leave home without medical coverage or a small bottle of Maple Syrup drowning without mercy the head of the aforementioned muppet...Thanks.
