Cradle govts: F1 vs Acrobat
Hex,

I have a 1.2 game going (not the Succession game), and I'm at a point where I'm a City State with the options of Oligarchy and Republic. The F1 govt info doesn't seem to match what I see in the Govt pdf file. Which one is more accurate at the moment? Is "F1" getting live data or canned data? (I noticed that "Republic" in F1 is not the same as in base CTP2, which is good.)

What info is not matching up? - There have been changes in the govern.txt files since 1.2, and the current pdf reflects 1.3.

The 1.3 update does overwrite the govern.txt file from 1.2

Are you switching out files from Cradle 1.2 and Cradle 1.3? If so, then the info will not match up.

If you are not switching out the files, then let me know where the inconsistencies are at and I will fix them.

In case of doubt, I always consult the text files

It's a bit, um, tedious to consult the text files in mid-play, particularly when looking at the pop-up "You just discovered a new government. Do you feel lucky, punk?"

Hex: my confusion. Basically I'm playing 1.2 after installing 1.3, so the government file has been overwritten (for the Succession Game too, gentlemen). The real confusion came because I had moved the Cradle 1.2 Readme directory up one level to the same level as the Apolyton and MedMod Readme directories...which meant that the 1.3 Readmes were "hidden" one level lower in the directory tree. Self-inflicted wound.

That pdf matches the gov txt as far as I can tell.
