Why do we always seem to settle for incompetence?
Civ3 had incredible potential..but it too has fallen victim to blatant incompetence. Reminds me a lot of "New Coke"...Great name..crap product.

The A.I. is aweful..especially the technology trading and how about the lunacy behind corruption. Certainly someone with a high school diploma works at Firaxis and could have prevented this lunacy...but maybe they are just living off the name "civilization" instead of caring about the quality of the product.

Unless I see a damn good patch and soon....Firaxis and Sid Meier can forget about my future business. In the future I will have to actually work at work..and talk to my wife and kids in the evening.

What the hell is this world coming to?

I read this quite a bit. It's going a bit far for me though.
If a Firaxis product is good, then I'll buy it (if I want it). If it isn't, I won't.
I will need convincing though. I no longer trust Firaxis to produce good games and won't buy any of their games based more or less solely on the company name (which I did do with CivIII).

Oh shock and/or horror.
Will you still recognize them?
