A simple question, really...

Before my son decided to use the cd as a frisbee, I enjoyed this game alot before. I have since gotten a new computer and found this game on clearance. My question is this: I once saw a post from someone on how to add the number of civilizations available for play at the start of the game. (instead of the default 8) I can't for the life of me remember which text file this was I edited and/or which line I edited in the text file. Can anyone help me with this?
