Next, I hope someone writes up a complete history of the two letters and their recent and past correlations, and then someone hits the "reply w/ quote" button and just says "you're right."

So, Eroberer, you are saying that Microsoft hijacked "XP".

Other hijacks:
Adolph Hitler hijacked Charlie Chaplain's mustache. To continue on a bad theme: The swastika used to be an honorable religious symbol.

The U.S. used to celebrate May 1 (May Day), but the Soviets made it a MAJOR holiday, so we stopped celebrating it.

XP is for Expansion Pack

And we obviously can't use EP, since then, everyone would think of Elephant Power.

And what does using XP have to do with being gay?

Everything and nothing at the same time Tuberski. Now if yall wanna talk about the hijacking of words....

XP wasn't hijacked, because it was never used for "expansion pack." You're all deluded by its greatly increased use since Microsoft pulled it from obscurity (since it very likely did belong to an automatic sliced cheese pack opener or something at one time).

XP when I was in high school, always meant eXperience Points. Not expansion pack or anything else.

It's something that didn't need to be said. There is no basis for it.

If that were the case, we wouldn't have let you in right?

All it is, is you trolling looking for an argument.

I don't want an argument, I just don't want XP used to mean expansion pack anymore.

And no one "let me in." For one, I was here before a lot of you fools. And also should've said "spineless" and "fake elitist," and added that you're all in the same herd.

What does that have to do with XP? Why do you stay? You aren't part of the herd anymore. Nobody takes you seriously.

Now we see how such idiots become kings.

Whether or not your complaint is legitimate (It's actually just a bunch of irrelevant whining), your phrasing it with the term "gay" shows your lack of sensitivity, intelligence and general wit.

My sincere hope is that the thread is deleted, your post count is reset and you're suspended from the board.

To that end I say to you, good day, sir!

We're elitist because we use an acronym that has several meanings? Well, all I can say to that is lol. XP is easier to type out then the full thing, and I know there will be even more whiners about my next statement but WinXP isn't that bad. Its been more reliable then any of the previous Windows OS's i've used, thats for sure.

Boris, bite me. You're obviously the closed minded son of ***** here, who needs to be impaled and set on fire. Lack of sensitivity my hairy ass, *****.

Chaot, yea, you're all elitists. You wouldn't call the expansion pack XP for the same reason you would call something new an AOL, or an MSN.

Ixnay, you're in the wrong, here. I hope ya choke on your next meal.

You all should be well aware that XP was never an abbreviation for "expansion pack."

Here's a suggestion, call it by what Infogames calls it. Play the World could be PoW, PW, CivPoW, CPW, hell, it could be PWXP or XPPW, if you all feel the need to continue being jackasses.

XP isn't an abbreviation for Windows either. That particular version is called Windows XP. Not XP.
