They should make a Sid Meier's Planet
Civ/Dinosaurs from the perspective of the planet...you could control weather, develop fault lines, plates, etc., and fight to keep stuff (like dinos) from going extinct, fight against pollution, etc...I dunno, I'm just rambling, but I think it could be fun. This all stems from thinking how it would be fun to play a game as Planet in SMAC

I'm thinking something a lot more complicated, in true Civ form.

How more complicated? How in Civ form? TBS?

IIRC, SimEarth was a lot like your talking about and as I remember, it was quite complicated.

yes Sim Earth was something like that. I tried playing it once...wow at the time I didn't have the patience to deal with all of the different aspects... I'm sure that if I went back and took another look at it, it wouldn't seem nearly as complicated today.

IIRC there was a Sim Life as well. Similar concept, maybe toned down (?), any one want to confirm or deny my thoughts?

There are sites with cheat codes for Sim Life, so I'm assuming theres a game of the same name But that was just a quick google check.
