Well, I do have one concern.

Honor is lost by doing... well, dishonorable things. Suppose, however, I lose honor by backstabbing my ally. I become infamous because of this... okay, no more influence. If we are using the advanced religion system, though, influence is divided many ways. If I backstab a primarily J'Honsa ally in his J'Honsa provinces, I would still be infamous... but the other dieties might actually like me better for doing this, in which case it doesn't make sense that I would stop accruing interest from them.

Basically, I'm just musing on how we will integrate the religion model with the honor/influence model.

In my mind's eye, one of the simplest ways of doing so would be to expand the role of influence....that is to say, one of the things you could do is buy "favor" with a church....buying favor with a church essentially binds you closer to that church, and could "extend" your Influence gathering priveleges with the church(s) you're in favor with, regardless of your honor standing....that is to say, you could still collect influence with churches from whom you had bought favors, although you still may(?) have to pay the exhorbitant prices for their assistance (cos after all, the church has to at least put in the appearance of being affronted by your behavior!).

Alternately, we could structure the magic system and religious model such that the church to J'honsa (being the dominant one...and this approach would call for making it truly dominant through most of candle'bre) is the only one you'd lose favor with....the others would be unaffected entirely. This would prompt those who behave infamously to more naturally gravitate to the other religions, which could set up some interesting dynamics of its own.
