Civ2 MP Archives
Where are they?

I used to like reading over the old archived story threads but I can't find them anymore.

I'm coming to the conclusion that there aren't any Civ MP archives anymore. There used to be, with some excellent threads archived. Looks like they have been thrown out.

Also it also appears that once a thread drops of page 30, it disappears forever. If so I might have to start bumping a LOT of threads.

If I understand it correctly... what you see is what you get. There is no need for archives with the new storage space. Any thread that is started will stay in the active forum. Right now, it goes back about a year. There is NO NEED TO BUMP old threads. They will remain no matter what.

I don't think MarkG has any intention of bringing back threads older than that. I'm not even sure if they are still around in any form.

The oldest threads are from 2000. Any idea what happened to the older ones? And there was a Civ2 MP archive at one time wasn't there?

Why is it necessary to have OT Archives etc if no thread is thrown out?

Yeah... it would help if I had hit "from the beginning" instead of "a year back"... I think some more coffee is needed

The older files are all gone... never to be seen again.
Yeah there were archives for most of the real active forums. But most of those are gone too. If you check the current archives,
they vary, but really don't go much farther back then what you can find in the active MP forums.

You should really be asking this question in the Community Forum, or just send a PM to MarkG.
