PTW video highlights
Here are some highlights from the 18 meg file available at civfanatics.
Here is an interesting picture of the new Arab leader. Presumably Saladin or Muhammed. It could be the Turkish leader as well.

Here is the new civ select screen
check out the new options at the bottom as well as the 24 civs.
If anyone can make any sense of the small print, we would know who the last civ was.

Here is another shot of the strange UU. Given that it seems to be in Istanbul, this is likely to be the Turks uu.

I'm doubting it's Muhammed. Firaxis has enough intelligence to use that little gift to man known as tact. That would simply be stupid, and sounds like something from a certain Iain Banks novel (ie, The Business. On a side note, read it, it's a good book).

The only thing more stupid than insulting a religion is insulting the most militant religion in the world (no offense meant to Muslims, honest).

Hmmm...thanks Monkspider. That doesn't look like an Arab leader at all, but instead the Ottoman leader, who I would guess to be Suleiman. It looks pretty good to me. I don't see how they could include both the Ottomans and the Arabs and not include an American civ, however, so I would hazard a guess that the Koreans won't be in PTW after all.

Since this creates a kind of alternative world, in those worlds dinosaurs could exist, they mite not of gotten wiped out in those worlds, so thats somthing to shut the anti-dino croud (if their is one), and if you don't like it, just delete them in the edittor!

I'm guessing the dinosaurs aren't in the regular game but are part of a scenario or come as somesort of extra for use in modding. If dinosaurs hadn't been wiped out it's unlikely that humans would have evolved in the first place.

Hmm? Who do you speak of Panang? I didn't hear any talk of Koreans or Incas or anything of the like.
Anyone care to speculate on what the possible Turkish UU could represent?

Are you implying that the speaker hinted at the existence of the Incas or Koreans and I missed it Panag?

Thanks for this... will now watch the video .

Dinosaurs - bleh, they better spend time on something else.

Saladin - hmm, doesn't look bad.

Turk UU - who knows if it is, but I thought Turks would have the Jannissary (maybe it is?).

Civselection screen surely looks interesting.

In the video, once the English king dies in regicide, we see the English cities becoming ruins. I wonder if razed / abandoned cities will give ruins in the XP, rather than being nicely deleted. I hope so

Did no-one listen to the audio?

The guy who was presenting the video clearly says that the civ selection screen was a "tricked-out version" so that he could show Isabella and Genghis in all the time periods and, presumebly, start a game in many different ways to test/debug the game.

I don't think it's a futuristic picture. It rather looks like a modern factory to me (this picture was just after the one of an industrial-era factory)
