Now I can make a sub a "bombard-only" unit, with 0 in attack and 8/10 in bombard, so it can work as expected, and I can put its HP very low to reflect its vulnerability

No more of the "Galley sink my sub" stuff
Great concept, except you can't yet prohibit the sub from bombarding land, and you KNOW the AI would just love to do that.

Need More Bombardment Flags!!
Can Bombard: "Land", "Sea", "Air"

Having only Can Bombard Sea would be for submarines.
Can Bombard Air would open up anti-aircraft capabilities.

OR, could have separate bombardment strengths for Land, Sea & Air, allowing greater richness, especially considering you might want different values for some (especially for AA capabilities).

Yo! Firaxis! Over here!

(OTH, probably getting to involved for the Civ franchise)

Actually would like to see the AA come in as it is a changeable field on buildings now - an air strength. Have already given a lot of my buildings an air strength. yet to see how the game plays this with multiple AA buildings in same city.

Like the sub idea too, of course the land bombard problem.
Doing it myself - I make their hit points less also.
Still working out a proper ROF for the subs bombard attack.
