Lethal Bombardment or Not?
Since some/many people like this option I thought I ought to make a poll out of it, in the midst of all the elections.

If 'yes' is chosen, then I will make a new poll about whether or not to have lethal land bombardment, air bombardment, or both, so if you support either, vote 'yes'.

you should really make options for each of the choices...

bombers should kill naval units, but not infantry

no land based artillery should kill anything. naval artillery cant kill anything.

NO
I think we should play with strictly standard rules. It is difficult enough to set up the game (about 10 days), although our choices are very limited. If we begin to toy with the editor, the game won't be started next year.

BTW, I'm against lethal bombardment, as the AI can't use bombrd correctly

Sure, turn it off. I wonder why we have so many Yes votes here, while an overwhelming majority voted "No mods" in the other poll.

I think that bombers can damage naval units without kill them...

A good shot can sink a ship, but not all hits will sink a Battleship.
You will need a realy good shot to sink that iron monster...

Agreed. If we open the pandoras box of teh editor we're gonna be here forever. Next thing you know they'll be polls "Should we place a mountain, desert, plains, ocean, etc tile on tile 12x52"

Because saying 'Let's have a mod' is a pretty radical proposal, but changing individual options appeals to more people.

And Pythagoras, I included this poll because it's a very important issue that has a lot of impact upon gameplay, more than 'Let's have a mod'. As you'll notice, the poll is a lot closer than many others, which means that the people are fairly divided on the issue as well.
