The Dunmer Temples have people who will sell you cure type spells.

This actually plays a part in one of the Legion quests.

I've played the game for a few days, but with my limited time, It will take forever to play it trough.

ANyway, I am not geared towards queste, at the moment I just walk around and explore the stuff at my disposal.

The game is the probably one of the best I played. It is really open

Ok, I've joined the imperial Cult as a lay member, how do I become a lay servant? I'll join the temple when I get back to a town with one (currently attempting to beat the necromancers in Vas), and the Legion when I can be bothered to get to Gnisis.

to go up in any group you have to complete quests but also if you look at the details of that group in your info screen it will tell you what level your abilities must be at.

something for the other morrowind players out there

I just did this quest and I have the choice of either killing this guy and getting a nice ax (called cloud something or another) and some potions

or killing a healer and getting the potions and staff which she had, but not getting the ax (And getting plus 2 strength)

so which is better (the guy has the name Wine-Sot as his last name and he calls the girl a festering witch, she wants to make a deal to give the ax back, he does not)

hmm get the axe and sell it. You'll find very nice longswords later in the game. Its better to use a crappy longsword and increase your skill in it, then waste the energy increasing your skill in the axe.

I just joined the imperial cult

I will tell you if I here anything

I was told to go to some city and talk to a guy if I wanted to change what I am to something different

BWT, my game has apparently messed up, when I am talking to people, it is not letting me scroll down the list of options

it has only been like that today, was not like that before

thanks

no I think it is just when talking to one person

I started up my game today, right after I killed the barbarriian

I remembered from the night before that she gave me cloudcleaver after killing him

but today she didn't (and I Thoguht it was an option below the ones that I am allowed)

anybody have any suggestions?

today she is talking about giving it to one who is worthy of it (last night, I was worthy of it)

Have you read the book that the Imperial Cult healer gave you - it gives some serious clues as to who you should go and see.....

SG[1] - slightly embarrassed as he posted before he read the book ...

I played Daggerfall: Character creation is marvellous, and I liked the openness as well. Otoh, randomized villages were somewhat repetitive, and I found travelling slow, and boring. Also lots of bugs.

How does Morrowwind relate to all that? Have they kept the great Character system, and improved on environment, travelling and avoiding bugs?

I made my own

I called it Anti-Magic (cause my character is against all magic)

I am an Imperial

with bonuses to Will Power and Endurance
Major skills of : Long Blade, Armorer, Medium Armor, Speechcraft, and Mercantile
Minor skills of : Block, Athletics, Aerobatics, Heavy Armor, Spear (I should have had sneak instead of spear)

my sign is Atronach

(the will power and atronach were to give me some magic defense, the other shoices were to try and make me as independent as possible)

currently I am using an enchanted sword, which my character feels uncomfortable with (he was going to sell it but his other sword got to worn and he had to use the enchanted one to keep from dieing, before he got achance to sell it)

also my character has had to decide that Alchemy is not magic (and I should have made alchemy a minor skill, probably instead of heavy armor)

why did my journals suddenly change?

went from seed time to heart something

also, does anybody know if the world changes as time progresses?

are there some quests which could only be undertaken early on (timewise, not causality wise)?

hey does anybody know what to when you have too much stuff?

I can hold a total of 37 pounds of loot

I was going to learn alchemy, but spent my money bailing out a guy who had an invisibility spell placed on him

Change of month/season I think. No idea on any of the other stuff as I'm only just getting into it too.

Huh, I spent forever trying to dispel that guy paralysed on the back road from Caldera to Maar Gaan (or something like that - don't remember the names at work). And I bought un-paralyse potion at the mages guild and run back to the guy just to find out that I need - cure common disiease potion - DOH - when I don't read on time. So I said - ok poor nord (and I am a nord) let's help him, and see what he is gonna give me. I run back bought that, and run back again. Fortunatley I have the boots of blinding speed, and am quite fast on my own, but it still took long time to run there and back 4 times.

Only for him to give me his father -fathers hat, which is kinda nice, but the only effect it has is 30% reduce frostbite - and I am 100% resistant to that anyway. "doh", at least he is free .

Buy the way, I am playing now going with the main quest, and am currently with Fighers Guild in Balmora, - I felt a bit sorry for that orc , and coudn't get it to fight, but killed it anyway as ordered for bounty. Hmmm moral decisions. I don't have problems killing thieves or the guys who attack me, or the ones that I provoke, but this one didn't want to fight at all.

Ah well chopped it anyway.

So yes, I don't like to just steal easy things either just to get my money up a bit. Seems a bit easy, but well I couldn't resist raiding the towers in Caldera and selling the stuff to local traders. btw, I hoped that guards would get upset, btu as it is behind closed doors, noone seems to mind. Perhaps that could have been a useful addition. That everyone has property assign to it, and maybe checks later if it is there, and than all hell breaks loose if it is stolen.

But anyway, great game

I finally got the game last week and have been playing non-stop for 5 days.

Level 11 acrobat.

I even stole 96 megs of RAM from my wife's computer so Morrowind would run better!

I have 224 megs now.. she has 32. (shhhh! Don't tell her )

I haven't had this much fun in a game since Thief and System Shock 2.
