--This site clearly values its reapeat visitors over first-time eyballs. (Nothing wrong with that !)

So it seems like it should be pretty straightforward to do a "My Apolyton" homepage, offering pretty much all the poll options as menu choices.

If this were implemented, a more newbie-friendly homepage would be viable.

"View new posts in subscribed forums" would be great.

Since I search my own handle every day or so to remember what threads I've actually posted in, having the information ready and waiting for me on the front page would definately be an attraction.

I'm not going to debate this anymore. I've got way more experience than you do. The feedback stands. Do with it as you please.
I was prepare not going to debate this anymore either as I thought that this could end amicably at this point. But, since you decided to send some parting shots my way I feel the need to address them one more time.

Your saying I'm a "poor writer" is a) your opinion and b) based on one paragraph that I wrote, which is far from any kind of substantive piece of my 'writing' to form a credible critique. Also, you claim that you have more "experience" than I do. That's a relative terms in terms of years/works written etc. but even if this is true, just because one has more "experience" does not make them a better writer.

This discussion is over folks, nothing else to see here, move along... {grin}

I don't see a whole lot that can be done with the front page except for the mentioned nude women. It is pretty crowded as it is.

Maybe if you provided a daily list of those banned it would make the front page an amusing place to visit.

I stopped subscribing to threads some time back because the email notifications were a glut in my mailbox. Access to "threads recently posted in" would therefore bo an OK addition, though the New Posts page actually works fine for that purpose.

I couldn't agree more. I also stopped subscribing to threads for the same reason. I love being able to access threads easily from my control panel but I really don't need the spam. This feature would be a good addition for the control panel as well, especially if you could set yourself how recent 'recent' is.

Alternatively/additionally, being able to subscribe to threads without getting the email noticifcation would be extremely useful as well...

Is there any way that the hottest threads could be the threads with 10 or 15 posts TODAY ???

That would make the feature more useful.
