Get rid of the Notylopa Jungle
Yous might of noticed that we have a major problem, the jungle. This pole is to determine if you agree with wiping it out or not, and why you want to or not.

Of course we should get rid of it sometime. I'd like to see what is on the other side before we commit resources to the jungle though.

Yes, but not right away... for the time being, it's a great defensive wall... though it does make every other aspect of our civ's existence miserable.

i'm all for destroying the jungle. disease sucks.

and from a military standpoint, the attacking units, although slower, will have a 25% defense bonus should we choose to attack them. all they need is a legionary or hoplite and we're doomed.

and i dont know how many of you have played huge worlds, but terrain clumps together.

it looks like we got warm and wet, so this jungle COULD spread over more than half of our continent/island whatever.

No, Temperate and Normal was voted on. The only thing that was random was the type of landmass. The jungle should end fairly soon.

i'll wager it doesn't. i know my jungles, and the fact that we havent found any dye yet is a bad thing. there is always dye in a decent sized jungle, and since we havent found it yet we can only assume the jungle gets larger.

Well, maybe we've been screwed over like never before, and the rest of the continent is jungle with no dye.

Uber sounds like some kind of expert, hehe.
Just like a tracker can work out if theirs a certain animal within 10 miles!

Bets he's correct - 5/7
Bets he's wrong - 4/5

That is why I voted him for Military Advisor. I want someone who can smell the enemy from miles and miles away.

As for the jungle, let's first see where it ends. If there are good terrain not so far, we could leave the jungle there. Otherwise, let's clean it!

Sure we shall get rid of the jungle. Not now, but later. No vote though, because all 3 yes options are true.

I say we clear only a few squares build some settlers, find the edge of the jungle and get another city up and running.

you optimists disgust me. the jungle will never end. and if it does, there will be a strong civ there to defend it.

There should be an "abstain", "banana" or "other" option.

I haven't voted, b'cos my preferred choice is to clear some (but not all). 2 reasons: the extra shields might be handy later on, and it looks prettier.

And I agree with Sir Ralph (in addition, possibly the no options are also true)

Yep, we're definitely gonna need to clear a good bit of it eventually, but not tonight...

Also, we should leave parts of it intact as sort of a momument to remind future generations of all the troubles we had to go through to get our great nation up and going!

We should clear out right now at least a few tiles next to that new city we're building. I want more space for banana plantations.
