Boosting Production?! (v. 1.21f)
I am pretty sure that this has been discussed before but with all the patches I am not sure what the status is at the moment. If your workers keep on planting/cutting forests do you boost your production or not?

Any advice on how too boost production of a city short term in order to complete a wonder? That is in case you do not have a leader!

No the tree cutting/replanting trick was killed a few patches ago. The only "trick" that can be used AFAIK is to be pre-building something with lots of shield cost (ie palace) and then switch to a wonder. Mobilization will also increase your shield production so I guess that would also work.

Mobilization will only help, if it's a military wonder (or building), otherwise you will still get the normal shield output. And you can't start a non-military wonder/building during mobilization, you are only allowed to finish the current one.

How was the forest harvesting exploit fixed in the first place?
I had reasoned, due to Firaxis' wonderful wording, that each tile could be utilized only once per game.

Later I got the indication that only 1 tile could be cut (and benefited from) per turn for a city.

when you capture a city , all the forests in the city radius can be harvested again btw. doesn't matter whether the AI has allready done so, you can do it again
