I'm too new to Apolyton. Don't know about any of this stuff.

I was involved in something much less severe in September of 2001. Back when I first registered and still posted in the Civ 3 forums I inadvertently created a spamfest. My registration had for some reason taken three weeks and I decided to make a thread about this. This attracted all of the veteran Spammers and soon the thread was out of control.

It ended with the cry, "I am the SPAMINATOR" from me.

Then MtG responded, "And you're also banned. And 100% PCR". A lot of other people got hit then, too. That thread lasted several days before the mods got to it. Quite surprising.

But now I'm the model poster.

Ming posted a thread with a message that he wanted people to see. I don't even remember what the message was, but it was pertaining to a controversy involving several posters on the board.
As far as I remember it was something like "Case closed! Anyone who continues posting on this thread will be banned". So naturally, we wanted to know if he was serious...

All the people Ming listed above were banned; most of us for only 1-3 days, but still. And Ming had a lot of explaining to do afterwards.
I got something like a week and a 10% reduction. Or was that for area 25.....

Let's face it, most of the DLs aren't hiding much...

I still can't believe someone did in my Santa DL. I only used it at christmas... It was seasonal dammit!

Most recently anyone remember Area 25 and the mass banning that went with that? Now THAT was a work of GENIUS!

Nah Faboba,

that was blatant postcount increasement,
it has nothing heroic ! We were fighting for rigthiousness,
you guys were just stealing postcounts !

It's Greenpeace compared to Enron !
It's Unicef compared to Worldcom !

Nobody has served the international community better than those hero's who got banned during the Black Saturday uproars!
