Ministers / Advisors
Any ideas, what sort of posts we'd have? The ministers' role would of course be arranging polls on different courses of action and helping out people with their 'expert opinion'. I suggest that we need at least

- A Terraforming advisor (terraforming)
- A Science/Research advisor (tech rate, tech goal)
- An Infrastructure (Build?) advisor (energy rate, base structures, wonders)
- A Military advisor (he might have a Probe advisor?)
- A Diplomatic advisor (whoo, Planetary Council!)
- others?

I also think that the writers among us (cough) should do the Historian stuff, maybe write SMACfics with events from the game, you know. Might be fun and interesting.

Yeah, you're right. Ande has a similar thread but this is more "complete".

I think the first thing for us to do is to elect a president who will then decide what advisors will he have...

i do not thing we should give the president so much power. we should split the power up in the different ministers. and let the president be the acting power on the advice/orders of these ministers

Civ3 Demo Game has These Ministers/Advisors:
- President
- Vice-President
- Minister of Imperial Expansion
- Minister of Public Works
- Minister of the Economy
- Minister of the Military
- Minister of Science
- Minister of Foreign Affairs
- City Planner
- Historian

EDIT: and Civ2 Demo Game has 1 less.

We won't have a president, we'll have a Commissioner, if we go for PK's.

Minister of I and E could deal with the energy rate, Secret Projects, Base Structures and Crawlers.

- Minister of the Military = Supreme Military Commander or something like that, Minister of Defence maybe

What I mean is we combine some tasks and rename the posts to get a bit more original.

minister of e :energyrate secret projects and 'gold'
minister of pb = minister of terraforming :crawlers and terraformers
minister of m :all military units (big task maybe split this one up?)
minister of s :duh

cityplanner = other name :ever building exept secret project!

M@ni@c, "City Planners" do not handle colonisation, they handle terraforming and building city structures. This in Civ2. An Exp. minister deals with, methinks exploration and city building.

i agree. is there any one that wants to order all of this thing in one files too see what we have. i could do it but my english isnt superb so maybe someone else. than we would already have a libraien (forgot the good word)

yes of course but they are lot of ideas in one big chaos. what name do we pick how much ministers do we pick i think if we leave this to the Commissioner not everone will be ok with it (ofcourse we can change something after the first month) and what about a constition (not right spelled is it?)

Commissioner - plays the game, oversees the Ministers
Vice Commissioner - Commissioner's aide etc.
Minister of Defence - controls military units
(Probe Advisor - provides needed info to Ministers)
Minister of Infrastructure and Economics - SP's, base structures, trade, energy
Minister of Social Affairs - Psi rate, specialists, drones, base structures etc.
Minister of Diplomacy - Contacts with other factions, Planetary Council stuff
Minister of Terraforming and Colonisation - controls Colony Pods and Terraformers
Minister of Research - tech rate, research goal

That's initially.
