Highest base size.
I cheated, and played around with a single base for a bit, and got a size 126 base. That was with soil enricher-condensors on every square, and 126 sky hydroponics labs. Is it possible to get a higher base size than that?

I don't think there is a limit to base size, as long as you have a) Nuts b) Time and c) Dome. You might run into some sort of hard-coded size, depending on how the value of population is handled in game.

Well, there are crawlers .

IIRC, this came up a while back, and somone used the scenario editor to keep adding to base size. I think the hard-coded limit is 128.

Actually drones become incredibly easy to manage with the larger and larger bases sizes.

As you exceed the 20 workable squares all remaining default to psych producing specialists. Near teh end game with use of transcendi specialists a base of the size mentioned would have something like 20 talents the remainder all as transcendi. Earlier in the game it might be doctors or empaths that is unless you've reset them to useful specialists like thinkers or better yet Engineers. But once transcendi become available you never should have a drone problem again. If you do transcendi the offending worker and reap the bennies of psych (2), labs (4), and econ (2).

Yep, with 105 transcends, there were 21 talents working in the fields, and with economy on 0% I was raking in over a thousand energy a turn!

Hey, Franky, I got some 36 or 40 even with tight base stacking before I (re)tired. Could have been more.

I just finished a standard single-player game with my largest bast at size 78. What's the highest anyone's gotten without cheating?

Well I got 52 as a Uni. before a dark side terran.exe crash at Y2402, not too bad and drones were no problem.

This is why you should always turn on the "AutoSave" feature.

I share Franky's pain - highest I ever got was while playing around with my Ultramind mod (which I scrapped), playing as the Human Manifold and reaching size 35 before the Kiberoid nuked it...

I'd guess none. When you do this type of thing, the energy sats and crawlers bring in the nuts and and your tech level is such that all your folks are the transcendii specialists.
