Hoo-ah! Called a cheater for the first time!
A Zoner, Flashiestnuts, accused me. Why? No idea.
2350 bc, 2 cities with a settler walking, dip walking, and that's pretty sorry playing if you ask me.
(I spent 4 turns founding initial city.)

Anyhow, I've hit big time I guess. Here. Have a look see.

I'm told it would be better to post as a Save file, so ok.

If you cheated to reach that point ,you must really suck when you don't cheat.

But I have to ask the question... Since he called you a cheater, does that mean you were winning...

It was a diversion to hide the fact that he was cheating.

Lol, I haven't been accused at civ, for good reason, but I was called an aimbot playing quake3 once. This is the FPS equivalent of doctoring saves. I was well pleased at the accusation!

I haven't looked at the save, so details are beyond me.
All the dude would say was that he was disappointed. I gave him a good old expletive deleted and muted him, because he was going on and on and on.
Then he dropped host.
Actually, I'm hoping Sean drops by, so as he can have a good laugh.
Hey, wait just a second here.
NOW I'm wondering about other possibilities, given my ongoing relationship with Sean.

Where's Sean?
The more I think about it, the more I think it was him in one of his various disquises.
He's pretty tricky, you know.

Heck, if that's the best he can cheat, he can be in our game anytime.

I said I waited a goodly amount of time to build my first city. Probably more than 4 turns. Six maybe.
So quit picking on me, because though I'm a cheat, I don't lie.

No joke.
This piece of crap connection of my brother's goes cuts out every hour and a half, regular as clockwork.
If I pay attention to the time, I quit and rejoin because if I lose connection, I "ghost" in the game and can't rejoin.

That's right

I'm not a big fan when people drop out "early" and then come back in. Granted, I trust the people we play with all the time... but that "thought" always crosses your mind

Needn't pertain to me in any way. I'm in such a lather to get back in, I don't even look at all's city/unit status.
The game needn't wait on me or anything. If I'm making a planned drop and return, I make sure it's as soon as my turn has ended.

Craig pays a whopping 10 dollars a year, but to a Civer that's still a ripoff.

I wasn't implying anything about "you" at all... Your record speaks for itself... (because if you cheat, you really suck at it )

But again, whenever somebody drops REALLY early in the game, and then takes their jolly time getting back into the game, it does make me wonder

You would think these people would have the brains to have a second computer handy and just save the game and load it up on the second one to get secret advice .

That way they do not hold up honest players games.

Yeah... when MWHC first discovered that trick, I was his partner in a MP game against Rah and Xin Yu... He loaded the game onto his lap top while playing the game on his desktop machine, and was giving me info on incoming attacks After that game, he posted the new cheat in a thread (and he was the first one that had ever posted about it)

It was indeed a contest to see who could discover the most new cheats. Xin Yu usually won.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Mostly I guess it's trial and error, and Xin is very methodical and determined.

While that might have been the case, it wasn't our intent. MP had just come out, and we were all trying to figure out what the flaws were in the game. It was really funny... all of a sudden you would get a king chat... "You aren't go to believe this... TRY THIS..." Xin Yu was just picking the game apart and finding all kind of "flaws". We would then all try them and confirm that it was something anybody could duplicate, and then start a thread on the subject. As time progressed, we stopped finding as many, and Rah rules started to take shape to deal with all the flaws we had found.

He must be running out of names.

The ones that impressed me the most were.

1. Figuring out how to convert terrain in one turn using 8 engineers. That one is confusing even while looking at the instructions.

2. The "none" unit reassigning trick timed perfectly between turns.

Talk about obscure.
