in the recent ptw screenshots, a city was producing a leader...will ptw have leaders to make or was that a mistake?

I know you can make armies in cities, but I don't know about leaders.

My guess is that the "Army" will now just be called leader. And the leader will be called "Great Leader" (or dissapear?). I cant think of someone building a rush wonder capable unit.

There is also the possibility that certain triggers will allow you to produce great leaders like how you get to produce small wonders. For example, you can produce the forbidden city after having 8 cities, maybe they will make it just the same so you can produce a great leader if you build X wonders or if you reach XX culture points, maybe not, but I cant think of a leader being an ordinarily bulidable unit.

Maybe during your Golden Age (or whatever it's called) you can build leaders.

By the way, which screen shot is that?

Look at the Pic, not golden age.

It also looks like the horseman in the mountain can see very far. It appears to be, also, that Democracies can build Guerrilla, in other pics, all Guerrillas where being produced by Communists.

This could have been a mod. I have used a similar mod on occasion. I found it here:

Zippo's Guide to Buildable Leaders

I have not read where buildable Leaders was an intergral part of PtW, nor have I read that Armies will be renamed Leader.

Hm, I once downloaded a mod where you could build 'Master Architects'. They cost as many shields as the Pyramids and can hurry great wonders.

Nice unit...

Since Firaxis has blocked all means to add shields to wonder construction other than great leaders, I dont think that the normal game will include any such kind of ordinarily buildable unit. Nor do I find it any attractive to play a game that includes it.

In the mod I used, it was more expensive than all of the ancient to pre modern Wonders. It made for an interesting game for one reason. The AI would use them to make a lot of Armies as well as rush Wonders themselves. If you didn't make some Armies of your own, you would find yourself in a war that you could win. In the games I played using this mod, I rarely used them to rush Wonders since the Wonder itself was cheaper than the Leader to build. I chose the high cost, 600 shields plus Warrior Code tech, to avoid making the game easy to win with.
