Did you notice that they have re-founded Sidon at the north-east corner of our continent, beyond the Aztech territory ?

They realize we're going to take their entire homeland and new Sidon will give them an alternate source of spice.
It looks like the Persian civ will be a coastal civilization based on our continent's northern shores.

I can remember the "dark days" when everyone was wanting to hire alliances and cave in to Persia and Germany.

And we have an outside chance of getting (or razing) Oxford without declaring war on the English because the Persian captial is now right next door, and looking at the map, Oxford's culture is inferior to both Persian cities next to it.
If we get Oxford, we should either raze it, or build a settler to disband the city and relocate it.
