What Part of The Great Library Do You Find Most Beneficial ?
My vote would go to Revolution Years, by Oedo.

That would be my first choice as well... followed by spaceship parts... While I know the info, it helps to have a printed reminder.

But overall, I would have to say that anything that still has a working link beats the stuff that doesn't

I've played so infrequently to the point of space travel that it's wasted on me, but I can see how it would be beneficial to have at hand.

Once Boann and I were playing a "Space Race" game, and I nuked her.
Some kind of pissed off.

I always consult the Oedo year chart. So I'd say that's the entry I use most often.

However, I would say that the DaveV resource square usage entry has probably had the biggest impact on how well I play. That was a real quantum leap, for me anyway.

Two areas -- Ongoing Benefit and Learn A Lot, Fast

Ongoing -- OEDO years and Spaceship build options are the printouts that I keep on hand.

Learn A Lot Fast
I learned a lot in the ICS, Intermediate Skills, and Deity Level areas. The Cheats topic was also very informative, and I believe the GL also has WLTxD info that I was lacking. Two-continent trading, the list goes on. For someone who was new to the game pretty recently, I can say that the GL has saved me many months of floundering.

Long live!

I used to check it all the time for OEDO years. (I even had it bookmarked), but I've used it so many times that I have it memorized now.

Minimum or fastest spaceship is the only other time I've used it. And in our MP games, not many spaceships are ever built.

Jrabbit's point is important: there's ongoing reference, and there's stunning revelation. I think the latter is more important. The most important thing I've learned at Apolyton is how to control the cost of science through identifying the key civ and tech gifting. Other key items: how to play ICS and how to play OCC. The power of trade is another key item, and I think the go-to map of inter-city trade road connections is a swell reference item.

All the OCC stuff plus trade importance.
Oedo years and spaceship parts would be cool if I didn't feel too lazy to check and revolt whenever I see fit, usually not bothering to have unrest for 3 years in all my cities, or building just parts of the ships while praying I am not overdoing something.
Last AC landing I launched 1942 with 10 years flight while the AI launched in 47 with 5.9 years. If I had been beaten, I think I would have regretted not looking more closely to the GL...

The Cost of Research Explained! Hello, maximum science.

SSC

DaveV's comparisons of second settler rushes altered how I played the early game. Now I never reach the modern era because of the early boosts I've learned from these tactics.

oedo
occ
(sci beakers)
...

Used to find beneficial... Most of the stuff (incl all of the above) I read in the original threads before they ended up in the GL.. After the GL was up I went there to get "extra credits".

Would appreciate the samsom thread on his 76 AD landing...

Most of the links of the GL are usefull (when they works ! ).
I use to use OCC method, ICS advertizing, OEDO dates... and a lot of informations which have changed my way of playing!
A good initiative of SG !
