Orders thread for 490 ad
Ok minister orders here.
I am unable to take any chat during the week as I am quite caught up with work ATM and am almost falling behind with whats going on. From what I gather Apoc will not be able to take a chat during the week either. Although if Aggie would like to take one I have full confidence that he is capable. Otherwise the next chat will be on saturday.
Although there is alot to be done/discussed before the next chat such as whether or not we are willing to enter a GA at this time?

and don't forget the switch to Republic- for now i advise postponing it at least another 5 turns, becasue rusing another culuture building in arbela will suck most if not alll the budget of the CP, and we need few improvements before we switch (marketplaces, mostly).

Specific Orders:
NONE.
General Orders:
War on America
A declaration of war is to be issued only after Aggie, the acting SMC, or (if no one else is present) the President decides to issue it. Do not declare war until these two things are done:
First, sell a "useless tech" (Non-combat unit tech like Theology) to America for all their gold and WM.
Then sign an Alliance with the Aztecs against America for best deal possible.
Best deal = discounted tech sale, GPT deal, max gold, in that order. Always include WM.
Lux Trading:
none at this time
Tech Trades:
Tech aquisition priority = Astronomy, Gunpowder, Banking, Navigation.
Other Trades
Do not trade our World or Territory Maps.
Treaties:
none at this time
Do not sign any ROPs or alliances.
Demands: (Give in only if demand is semi-reasonable)
E. Give in: Rome.
F. Refuse: Greece, England, Persia, Germany, France, Aztecs, America, Russia, Babylon, Iroquois.
* NOTE: Do not give in to any demands that involve giving away our World or Territory Maps
All things left unstated in turnthreads/chats are for Presidential or Public decision. All things specified must be followed unless surprise events have made the orders illogical, harmful, or inappropriate. In that situation the President should end turnthread/chat if any major decision needs to be taken and no representative from the Ministry is present to make the decision. If only a minor decision, the President may use his discretion to change the orders so that they are logical, beneficial, and appropriate.

The MoIE has only one settler which is being held in reserve for any emergency use necessary.
Chartres should move one tile sw and refound itself once it finishes building a settler.

I can't make Saturday. I have SATs.
One thing though, I can easily do chats on both Tuesday and Friday of next week. I have no school those days.

Orders for Public Works
Here are the orders for public works for 490 AD. These should
be fairly complete and accurate. If there are any questions, contact me.
REGARDING ARABELA
I know that we want to sacrifice a worker for Arabela, I authorize this.
The closet NATIVE worker (providing that it what we want) is in the Port of Malignance. If you want
to use him, go ahead and activate him this turn and move toward Arabela, it will take a few turns to get there. Otherwise, there are 2 PERSIAN workers currently stationed in Arabela waiting for orders. I wrote up orders for them in the thread, only because I didn't know what is happening with them. But if you need to use them, go ahead. Zeit, make sure you let OPD know whether ou want to use the native worker or the persian worker in Arabela.
[Edit] Updated some orders for Ghengistown thanks to Ghengis himself.

-WB, it's obsolutely neccesary that you join Arbela with one worker, and disband the other, so that i could rush the Library there and save around 300 lytons. please, it's very very important that these workers would join the effort to reduce the chances of a flip, I have also sent you a PM about this, in case you don't visit the thread.

You have the workers near Ghengistown moving after they clear the jungle. This costs them an extra turn where if you had the first ones build a road the others could move THREE spaces instead of one as they would start on a road. It will take TWO turns to build a road there later as opposed to the one turn now which will slow our development.

OPD: Sorry, I can't do the president-friendly list of orders for this turnchat. RL is becoming demanding.

Back on page 2 even though this is very important.
Now that thread topping is easy what do people think to topping and detopping the ministers orders for each set of turns?

I’m sorry, but I’ll probably won’t be available for the Chat, there is a slight chance I might make it in 23:00-24:00 GMT.
Oh, and this is my first experience as a CP, so be merciful.
Here are the CP orders for this turn chat
General orders, for certain cities-
When we are ready to have a revolution, just make sure to rush those Improvements just before the revolution (the same turn, so thre first Rep. Turn enjoys the benefits). The cities and improvements are: 1)Chiqiutia courthouse switch to library, 2)a Marketplace in Gaia then Library, 3)and temple AGC (when it is one turn to growth, then build harbor.
I haven’t written the rush costs, as I lack the time, but I assure you they won’t exceed my budget in more than 100-120 lytons.
If there is still disorders, use entairtainers.
When a city grows, a command for a specific tile labor refers to the created citizen.
Any captured American cities are to build temples, and connected via roads ASAP, if disorder occurs, prefer Military police, if none in available, use entertainers (starvation allowed).
490AD:
Arbela- after a worker joins then another disbands (the Apolytonian joins), rush a Cathedral.
Delmonte- scientist to work on river forest
Timeline- switch to marketplace
Termina (grows in 530AD)- Marketplace
Here It is (grows 530)- Marketplace, change citizen from shield grass to river grass
Chiqiutia- Rush courthouse before Republic then switch to library.
BFM- rush temple
Boom town- (grow 500AD)- rush temple, work on lake and road grass
AGC (grow 510)- Temple (see note in genral orders).
Ubergrosk (grow 500)- work grassland w/ shield instead of w/o shield.
Geofront- (grow 510)- lwork dye instead of hill
Gaia (grow 500)- taxman to work dye
Chartres – settler
Port rouge –(grow 520)- change labor from sw,sw to river forest
Jerusalem (grow 540)- change worker from road grass to irrigated plains.
500AD:
Arbela- finishes Cathedral, build Libraryl.
BFM- worker
Boomtown- grows, worker, labor shield grass, finishes temple, build worker
Ubergrosk- grows, work on grass
Gaia- grows, work dye
510AD:
BFM- finish temple, build worker.
Apolyton- grows, work on fish
AGC- grows, work coast
Geofront- grows, work grass
520AD:
Port of malignance- grow, work coast, Finishes temple build marketplace
Aployton- finishes WC build marketplace
Port rouge- grow, work sw, sw
Site E- (grow 530AD)- rush temple
530AD:
Site E- grows, build temple
BHQ-finishes WC, build marketplace.
Napoleton- finish worker, build another.
Here it is – grows, work shield road grass.
Edited- chiquita won't grow because no aqueduct, and Cathedral in Arbela instead of library

Hmm
I have a question for Arabela.
We have a worker joining, but why are we disbanding the remaining worker? I would like to add it to the worker force?

I thought we are disbanding the worker to save money on the library. Makes sense.

Hmm, all that was ever requested from me was a worker for Arabela to add to the population. I'd prefer better communication or PMing me of such requests. (I did get a PM, but it was only for the worker to be added to the population).
Will a worker really contribute that much to the construction of a library?

I believe the idea is that because the Library has 0 shields, it will cost over twice as much as if we had 1 shield. Disbanding a worker would more than half the price and save money in the long run. I remember reading this somewhere.

WB- Actually, i did ask you to disband the woker in the OM i send you, and you replied that you already authorized it, probably referring only to the joined worker, i guess this was a misunderstanding.
And yes the worker will save us around 330(!!!!) lytons

I beleave that the plan was (from the Emergency Cabinet Meeting thread) to disband the worker in Arbela so that we can Rush the Culture Improvement (Cathedral perferably), so that the Worker that we just added to Arbela, will be content and Arbela will be in WLKD. These things in combination should prevent a culture flip and keep the Spices flowing to our trade partners.
