Thanks. While you're at it, any chance of the new manual excerpts finding their way to a usable board?

Rantz: thanks for the heads-up on the new screenschots. They are great!

I had a quick question: what does the "Commend" bill do?

i'm assuming it lets someone into the Senate, buit im probably wrong

what else would it do besides a pat on the back?

I am pretty sure that it doesn't let someone into the senate because I think there is a separate bill that specifically admits someone into the senate as an observer or full member.

It sounds like just a pat on the back type bill. That is why I asked what it does.

What use would be the bill have if it just gave someone a pat on the back?

It must do something concrete or why have it in the game and why would anyone bother?

It might raise their relations with other Senate members.

That's what I think. I am hoping that the "commend" and "condemn" bills raise or lower the diplomatic relations of that faction with others.

That way, if race X uses nukes, you could condemn them in the senate, and if the bill passes, it would make it harder for race X to trade and make treaties with the other races.

Likewise, if you "commend" race X, and the bill passes, it would make it easier for race X to trade and make treaties with others.

At least, that is what I am hoping for.

I have cable, and you are right the pics shows too slowly for today's standards from that site. The host is slow, but at least I can see what Rantz's tattooed finger looks like NOW

i'm sitting in my universities computer lab wich has T line access, and the pictures still don't load after 30 seconds. thats ridiculous. I can tell you that many people who are considering purchasing the game won't if they can't find screen shots, etc on the official website for the game since it loads so slow I'm one of them

If that's your criterium for buying a game perhaps you're better of without.

No, ok, I think the speed sucks as well. But come on, people, we're not talking the end of the world here because you can't get the piccies down withouth switching to another window for a while...

I would say that screen shots are not going to be a factor in any game I ever buy. Ok, maybe a tiny part. First, I want to know what the genre is, to see if I care. If it is say an FPS, I am not going any farther. If it is something, I play, then I want to know more about it. I will have some knowledge of the dev people (usually) and if it is a sequel, I will look to its earlier versions. I may see articles in the game mags as well. Then it is on to forums to see what others are saying. Not if they like it, but how it works. If I am still unsure, then I will wait for the demo or it to get real cheap. Of course this does not apply to Moo3 as it is one of the more anticpated games. Moo1 is a hall of fame game. If you have not heard of it, I can only figure you do not read pc game mags, go to E3 or are into games in a big way.

part of the problem with our site right now is we are getting *sacked* with hits. (something about people wanting to see about some game that's coming out...) and we're a smaller company that doesn't have a gigantic web bandwidth capable of handling thousands of hits.

We are working on making it better, sorry all!

Dear Rantz...

Do not apologise!!! You're a smaller company doing greater games (you should be proud of it) If they can't wait a couple of seconds to see a screenshot, it's their own torture. Don't worry.
