Since the start of the dragon war, we have lost 3 provinces and had their spots filled. One defected at the start because he wasn't active enough (we asked him to leave), the province that got killed off decided to quit the game, and another province chose to quit after the war ended due to a lack of interest.

I already had such luck last age.

You should consider convincing the provinces who leave to give their UN and PW. This way you can get in people you know to be good players. *hint, hint*

I prefer not to do that because that's against the rules, and also our Kingdom rules. Not that our kingdom hasn't done it in the past, but when we get visited by Mehul we generally lose only a couple of provinces.

There are spots opening up in the Kingdom. We just killed off 2 inactives.

We have also gone through a tough war, where we will be surrendering for the first time. And I mean the FIRST time, we've never surrendered before in 5-6 ages of the current relations system. We also had some internal turmoil, in which two provinces that weren't toeing the kingdom line were asked to leave. So right now we're down to 20 provinces, plus 5 slots that will fill up and empty as we turn over the underperformers and keep the good people.

We are still strong tho, and I am still in the world top 100 for honor (but will likely drop out when we surrender). My wizards in particular deal out much damage to any kingdom we encounter - I have over 16 mod wizards per acre....

* As a Mystic, you can recover quickly. Build Guilds on all your barren acres, and you'll get back to 1700 wizards in about a week or two. Consider razing unnecessary buildings like Libraries to get wizards back faster.

* Cast Love and Peace to help you repopulate.

* Address your Happiness problems. What ever they are complaining about, fix. To fix thief happiness messages in future wars, use your thieves in war to do simple thief ops against enemy attackers without watchtowers. Burn Forts against an enemy attacker with 10% forts, no watchtowers and 0.5 TPA is good for this. For mage happiness, cast Storms and Drought when you get your wizards back.

* Consider using Reflect Magic and Magic Shield to defend against mages in future wars.

* You have 10% watchtowers. Consider using as many as 20% WT if you want a really annoying thief defense in future wars. I use 20% WT to protect my thousands of wizards, and nobody goes near me.

And i'm not an active offensive mage, so i might settle for 1 wpa.

tnx for the tips, my peasants have never been happy about my thieves..
I'm releasing a dfew thousand off specs soon, the biggest concerns are economy and military size, releasing the units should solve most problems.

we just came out of war, and it was a toughie....of course we prevailed and their king was honorable so we let them off with a draw....

they were 600k bigger , we fear noone.....but we have our own internal problems...we warred a myth kd....but they had no outside help....there is some honor in utopia....

i love warring pretty much all age hehe

Right, this is our (partially hilarious) story:

Three hours before declaration, a 1,800-acre UD defects into our target-KD.
At first, we were not amused by this, but now, it seems it's worked out in our favor:
The big UD has nice plans:
1) He wants to become the Monarch; and
2) When he is Monarch, he'll surrender to us.

1) is already achieved. The War will still go on for fourteen hours, so we'll have to see about 2) then, but we are 153-47 ahead
