Lazy civ players
I'm a lazy civ player. ICS? Super Growth strats? OCC? I couldn't be bothered. Too much micro!!!

Sure, I multiplay at Deity level with some very good players. But I leave all that extra work to them. I'd rather watch TV between turns.

Strangely enough, I still do pretty well

Any other lazy players out there?

Have you met The Deity?

What surprises me is while these people are feverishly micro managing, I still do okay. Its only with the very top tier of players that you can't just coast.

I'm so lazy that I have only once or twice ever actually completed a normal game. I always get bored somewhere between the medieval and industrial eras.

The way that I play this game is very fast. I play on mostly instinct, although I have begun to use some planning on my trade. I write down on paper all the larger cities abroad that are in demand of something. I then use this to decide what I will send there, or if I will make a caravan in that city. Other than that it's one hand on the number pad, one on the remote flipping between Big Ten basketball and The Simpsons. And yes, many times I will quit a game before then end because I am bored.

Just ask for a time limit. Those against it are your micro managers. Those who don't care are the fast players. MP is more fun with fast players.

I micromanage more than Jimmy Carter. Perhaps it will be my downfall?

I am pretty fast.... although i do micromanage between turns..... this allows my troops more time to hunt

I agree though.... civ is better with fast players
