Firaxis wasn't selective about the mods they shipped with PtW?!
Oh my... Some of the mods that shipped with the game, are terrible. Man have such bad spelling errors and terrible desriptions it makes me wonder... Why wasn't Firaxis more careful with the mods they included in the PtW?
Would someone at Firaxis (actually anyone) care to comment?

From what I've heard from the team, those who frequent the boards here weren't involved in the selection process.
The problem is the submission time was only around 2 weeks. That's not a very long time, when you consider how long people have been modding Civ 3. You only get so much quality work in such a short timespan.

There is a mod created by the beta-testing team which seems to be very good, IMHO.

exactly, I think most of the spelling errors came from non-english speakers. Firaxis probably let people write their own blurb, thus the errors.I noticed them too, but then I realized what the deal was and have no problems with it now.

I remeber the 1st time when I used spell-checker to see my spelling errors in readme. I was pretty suprised. There were too many. Most were simple typos.
But yet, my MOD was online for more then 6 months and nobody complained.
Unfortunately, the version which probably got to PtW doesn't have all spelling errors fixed.
Still, there is alwyas the newest version in link below.
(base Civ3 version of MOD, I'll make upgraded PtW version in several weeks)
