Mine usually stops for awhile after about 95% but it carries on and completes. How long did you wait for it to carry on?

What specs do you have? Does the CD look unscratched?is your CD-rom reliable?Does it give you an error message or just stop and do nothing and what Maquiladora asked?

52% resources is kinda low. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and close all programs except explorer and systray and try to run setup after a reboot just to make sure.

LOL i used to get this problem ages ago with CtP1 and 2.

Used to freeze on 99.9% (and 98 sometimes) and I would exit it or restart. It would think it had installed but just didnt run

lol once the CtP2 installation went to 102% with me (strange)

I got it up to 90% free resources and tried but it wont werk, BUT the game does run after I press Ctrl+Alt+Del about 3 times and click on the Autorun, it seems that the only thing that didn't install was desktop Icons and start menu

I believe you can install the files manually because they're stored in zip format on the CD (That was certainly true in CTP1, anyway...), and then I'm sure someone around here could help you with the registry entries if necessary.

For your partial installation: you would be better off running [install directory]\ctp2_program\ctp\ctp2.exe than the autorun or anything else.

I had the same problem on my old PC, I could almost never get it to install right. Just use WinZip or whatever to manually unpack the *.ctp files (they're just zip files in disguise) and you can run the game. I think that you may need the registry settings and stuff for the patch and MP (not sure about that), but if so, you can always copy the install program to your harddisk, replace the *.ctp files with (almost) empty ones and run it from your HDD - that always worked fine for me. Failing that, the manual patch Maquiladora made can be found in the Directory - using that instead of the regular patch will probably work as well.
