Will US version work with European version?

Hi all

I am a dedicated Civ III player annoyed of the prospect of waiting another 3 weeks for the European release of "Play the World" and is considering (strongly) to have it sent (fast) from the US. I was wondering if there are any technical problems - that is - are there any compatibility issues between the US and European versions (I will be playing the English version of PTW - not german or others)?

Second - since my urgency is to be able to play the multiplayer add-on - I was also wondering whether any of you have any opinion on the current status of the bug-fixing in "Play the World" . That is - am I better of waiting for the European version (and the patches to correct the multilyer problems)?

Well - I cannot wait to be part of the fun!!

In civ3 there was no difference between EU/US versions. I don't think there will be a difference in PtW.
